Kate sheppard
long ago in New Zealand women where not allowed to vote only men could and Then kate wanted to put a stop to this so she created a petition for women to be able to vote and then 30,000 people signed it she borough it to the goverment and then the able women to vote have you heard of Kate before?
she is on our ten dollar note too.

ReplyDeleteYou’ve summarised Kate Sheppard brilliantly. She’s a remarkable woman who did so much for New Zealand females as well as the rest of the world. New Zealand led the way in relation to women getting the right to vote and Kate was a key figurehead in the movement!

If you could change Kate off the $10 note for another famous Kiwi, who would you put on it?
