Maui and the big fish

                                    Maui is no normal man

                      Maui was a very gifted man he had much strength and power ,

                      Maui was the most popular out of his four brothers and they were

                      very jealous of him and his strength, one night the brothers decided 

                       to go fishing without Maui, and just before they set out Maui climbed under 

                      the floor boards as Maui had heard their plans. It was not till they were

                       in the middle of the ocean that Maui revealed himself to the four brothers 

                       then he took out his magic fish hook (his grandmothers jaw bone ) and 

                       threw it into the ocean. Then suddenly he cried ¨"I have caught something ,

                        and its big! ¨ then he started to pull it to the surface.Maui told his brothers to 

                        wait while he appeased the God of the sea before cutting open the fish ( the North island )

                               his brothers did not listen as they were impatient and started cutting ¨ the fish ¨

                                and that formed the Mountains and the south is Maui´s Waka. what do you think Maui 

                                 would of felt when he pulled up the big fish ?

On Friday we got given these amazing books! And after that we got to read them. Most of our class were very happy with them ! Thank you Duffy books!! We also got a Duffy assembly its when a role model comes and speaks about their life this time it was Poto 
Willams she is a famous MP and spends a lot of time in the Beehive. We found it very interesting I would also like to thank Poto Willams! have you read these series?

Old miss cranky frog

Old miss cranky frog lives next door, Every night I here a shout ¨"wheres my pink underwear!¨
it's all because she's blind that's why she need glasses , but they don´t help. Let me describe her,
she has a sharp stare that could kill a hungry lion , her dangly ear lobs as long as a pigs tail
her dress as dirty as a rotten pig.

She eats baby food because she doesn´t  have any teeth her dress has a light background with a finishing touch of purple flowers covering most of it and light grey hair as flaky as cereal, and as her name suggests she is very very cranky!

Her glasses make her look a lot more elderly and her twisty smile could kill a whole pack of wolves .

How to respect your self

                                 this term we are learning all the virtues and there meaning
                                 and this week we are learning respect i hope you learn some things

                                                     my winter sport was indoor bowls
                                                     I need to work on bowling a bit faster,
                                                     Im looking forward to competing with other schools
                                                     I found having to bowl to the target hard
                                                     we versed Rawhiti and Te pa school´s
                                                                 we all did well
