Comic strip vs comic book vs cartoon

WALT: Do the spring learning journey

For the spring learning journey we had to do what the difference is between a comic book a cartoon and a comic strip. At first I thought I knew but then I realised that this was actually a really good question. and I think that they are quite similar, but also very different. The difference between a comic from the others is that these comic like TV shows are not in book form and the characters are actually talking instead of a speech bubble. Now for the comic book, this is a book unlike the cartoons and unlike a cartoon strip it has a little more time to build up into the main parts of the book. A comic strip is really short so it has to just have the jist of it in 5 boxes or less.

  1. Kia ora Emily,

Well done on realising that this question is a bit tricker than it really seems. You have done a great job of finding out about the differences. I wonder if you did a venn diagram of the three things what they would have in common and what they would have different? I did notice that you used the word comic when you meant cartoon, you may want to fix that up.

Great to see you are doing the spring learning journey.
Keep up the great learning and blogging,
