New Zealand symphony Orchestra

 WALT: write a recount

Last Thursday our school bused to the New Zealand symphony Orchestra held at the town hall,

they played the story of Peter and the wolf, it was about a young boy trying to catch a wolf and making

friends with animals on the way. Each animal was represented by a different instrument,

the bird was the flute when the bird was panicking it would play really fast , the duck was the obbo

when the duck was running it would go fast, the cat was the clarinet and when it was sneaking it would go

slow, the hunters were the drums and when they were coming the drums were deep, the wolf was the french

horns I think they were chosen to be the wolf because it sounded scary. The grandfather was the bassoon because it sounds deep  and Peter was the strings because it makes a happy sound.

My favourite part of the performance was the flute because it made a

high pitch sound and it was very satisfying to listen too.

If I could play an instrument

out of the Orchestra it would be the strings because I could imagine it would be a nice sound to listen to,

like a calm sound.

When the music was played I felt sleepy because it was very calm and quiet at times,

but when the drums played it woke me up.
